The athlete jersey was developed as a complete cut-and-sew build, starting with a medium-weight quick-dry mesh selected for breathability, structure, and durability. The fabric choice was intentional - reminiscent of professional NBA basketball jerseys - balancing airflow with enough weight to maintain shape and drape during movement. To bring depth and visual identity to the piece, we used full sublimation to create two custom ombre colorways. This approach allowed for smooth color transitions without adding weight or compromising performance, ensuring the jersey remained functional while visually distinct. Detailing was treated with the same level of care as the base construction. We incorporated a double high-density woven label placed at the lower front corner, adding a premium touch without disrupting the silhouette. Raised transfer applications on both the front and back introduced subtle texture and dimension, while a canvas back neck label with decorative stitching completed the interior finish - an intentional detail rarely seen in event jerseys. The result was a jersey that balanced performance, durability, and visual presence, built to reflect the importance of the Venice Beach event within the PAINKLLR ecosystem.
